How Health-Food Options Are Benefitting Live Games

By Rob Sutter

Let's say that you're ready to attend a baseball game; what are the types of snacks which you look forward to? Are foot long hot dogs amongst the names that you're thinking of? It's not uncommon but it's come to my attention that a number of stadiums will potentially bring on health-food options that will appeal to a vegetarian audience. I think that this is excellent because as times change and more diet changes are seen, I believe that the live experiences are going to be made all the better.

An article was posted on Ecorazzi and it talked about how more variety in health-food was going to be seen throughout Wrigley Stadium. To me, this is astounding because there should be a wealth of options to choose from, especially if people are not entirely comfortable with consuming meat. Vegetarians can now take advantage of the litany of choices and not worry about packing food from home. Companies such as Quorn should be pleased that more meatless options are coming down the pipeline.

The article talked about the foods which would be offered during the 2013 season and they are ones that will certainly appeal to a meatless audience. The Chicago Cubs and Levy restaurants will be coming out with a litany of dishes, including but not limited to Veggie Hot Dogs and Chopped Salads. While these options have not exactly gone global, who's to say that anything will prevent that? If these options go over well, it's a definite possibility that they will reach other venues.

While it's not confirmed, I believe that the inclusion of these kinds of foods comes from an increased vegetarian population in sports team. This goes especially for wrestling, which is perhaps the line of work that requires most in the way of protein. However, they manage to attain that nutrient from more healthful sources. I don't want to assume that this means everyone is going to stop eating meat but it could prove to be something of an influence for people to look back on.

There are countless health-food options that seem to be coming about and I couldn't be happy with these various instances. I don't think that there should be any limits as far as these options are concerned because now vegetarianism seems to be at a higher level than ever before. More and more people, it seems, are turning away from meat in favor of a leaner diet. I'm sure that more choices will come about since the demand seems to be at an all-time high.
