Red Hot Bhut Jolokia Sauce

Bhut Jolokia is one of the hottest things you can imagine. It is probably the hottest chilies ever, four hundred times hotter than Tabasco. Bhut Jolokia sauce usually contains some amount of this amazingly hot chili, together with some other ingredients, for example tomatoes, onions, garlic, paprika, coriander and different spices.

This small red pepper, also known as Ghost pepper, probably origins from India. Although this plant is known there for ages, it became popular in Western world in 2000. Until then, a pepper known as Red Savina Habanero was believed to be the hottest. Well, this little thing is at least twice as hot.

Bhut Jolokia chili peppers are incredibly hot, but they also have very nice taste and strong, intoxicating aroma. You should add only a small amount in your meals, because it is so incredibly powerful. Make sure to use gloves when slicing or chopping your peppers, even when they are dry.

The main compound in those peppers is called Capsaicin. Thanks to it, Ghosts are so incredibly hot, but also extremely healthy to consume. They are good for your heart, blood vessels, and all other organs. They can relief you from the pain, especially if you suffer from arthritis, migraine or headache. It has positive and instant effect in pain relief when it comes to muscles and joints, and it can even fight cancer.

There are several studies showing great results in the treatment of different cardiovascular diseases, in lowering blood pressure, even in the treatment of different digestion problems, because it really affects natural cleansing processes. Capsaicin is added to various dietary products to improve their effectiveness. All this makes it more than desirable addition in all types of products designed or losing weight.

Try to find Ghost peppers in your nearest health food store. It is available as dried peppers sold separately, as powder or as flakes, usually. Ghost pepper oil is magnificent spice in every kitchen, and it is so easy to prepare it. You can dehydrate your peppers and cook them in oil for a while, and store the mixture in your fridge. There is another, even simpler way of preparing it. Put a few Ghosts in some small bottle, add good olive oil and that's it. After a few days, you will have beautifully aromatic, hot oil to spice up your meals.

Salsa is maybe the easiest recipe of all. You should slice your dried Ghosts and cook them in a small amount of water, to rehydrate them. After that, just put them in your blender, together with a few cloves of garlic and some tomatoes, fresh or canned. Season with some sea salt, and add a little bit of good white vinegar.

Bhut Jolokia sauce is easy to prepare. You will need one or two Ghost peppers, chopped onions, one or two cloves of garlic, some olive oil and a can of whole tomatoes. Fry your chopped onions on some olive oil for a few minutes, then add other chopped ingredients. Season with a little bit of sea salt and cook for approximately 30 minutes on low heat. You can add different spices of your choice.
