The Growing Trend For Dads That Cook

By Jason Glover

Over recent years there has a massive change in the way that families are living. One of the biggest changes is that there has been an increase in the number of dads that cook. This increase in dads cooking may surprise some people but there is actually a lot of men that enjoy cooking for their family. This increase in men cooking has also led to an increase in the amount of interest in the blog that is known as my daddy cooks.

This change in cooking habits has also meant that the questions about what to cook for dinner is now being asked by the dads rather than the mums. There is still a lot of people who are looking for easy to cook ideas, however there has always been a demand for this. The amount of different recipes that are being tackled by dads has increased and this has helped to encourage other dads to cook too even if it is only one night a week.

There are a number of reasons why dad are cooking for their family. In some cases the dads are cooking because they take turns to cook or because they have found themselves without a job and therefore they have become a stay at home dad. When a dad loses his job it can be a very hard thing to cope with.

One good thing about being a stay home dad is that you get to spend more time with your children and this is possibly one of the best things that you can do. It is fair to say that at some point the dad will need to return to work however in the short term most dads find it nice to be at home with their children and spending their time caring for their family.

There is a large number of blogs that can be found online relating to stay at home dads. A lot of stay at home dads enjoy making fresh meals that are interesting and these are beneficial to their health.

Stay at home dads are more creative when it comes down to cooking meals for their children and they are beginning to incorporate various spices, herbs and ingredients. They will try and give their family tasty meals that are healthy options whilst staying on a budget.

The age of the children will affect how easy it is to cater for all tastes. In most cases young children will be willing to eat almost anything however older children have a tendency to be fussy when it comes to eating. When cooking for young children the one thing that you need to take into account is the ability of the child to eat.

Another idea that might be very useful is to involve the children with the cooking. Most children will enjoy getting their hands dirty helping their parent to cook some food. When the children are involved in the cooking it can be easier to encourage them to eat their meal as they have assisted in the making of the food.
