It is not always easy to know what to eat when it comes to dinner time. However, one dish chicken recipes can come to good use when you are struggling to know what to have. This is simple to get the hang of and it is tasty as well, so there is no reason not to experiment with certain dishes.

Chicken is so versatile, because you can make things like a stew, or a curry or something with red wine, which is traditional and one can just leave this slow cooking away while you get on with something else. You can even serve the starch with it. If you add in the vegetables then this is going to thicken up the dish.

You can also make soups which are very filling because you can add many vegetables which go well with the chicken. One can serve a nice piece of bread or a baguette with this. You can even take this to work and warm it up in the microwave. It is affordable as well and there is always space for leftovers.

You can put the slow cooker on before you go to work and you can be prepared in this way so your dinner will be waiting for you when you get back home. This means that you won't have that extra stress hanging over you when you get home, wondering what to cook. It makes things a lot easier.

A stir fry is easy to make once you get the hang of it. Usually the sauce is composed of a sweet part and a sour part. One should taste as you go along. It should basically coat the food and you don't really have to fry the food for too long. For this, one can use chicken breasts and noodles which only take a couple of minutes to make in hot water.

Some of these dishes need to be cooked very slowly, such as a curry or a stew and others don't take much time. A stir fry only takes a couple of minutes. The more you practice on something, the quicker it will go. Coq au vin is a favorite and you will use this method. It is not difficult to make and you can just leave it in the oven while you get on with other things.

Spanish chicken is delicious because all the flavors come out of the olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, courgettes combined with the chicken. One can add rice to this in the beginning and it will cook away and thicken the meal at the same time. If you want you can also add sliced potatoes as a variation. The nice thing about these dishes is that one can always experiment.
