The Most Effective Method To Prepare Gluten Free Sweet Potato Pie

Sweet potato pie is a delight but to make it gluten free is not that easy if you're following the traditional method of pie making. It requires a lot of time to prepare the dough and then process it further, following a traditional method. There are some quick and easy gluten free sweet potato pie recipes that you can follow and make your pie in an instant manner. There are gluten free pie crust already mixed packets available in the market that you can purchase to make things easier for yourself.

You will need to prepare the dough according to the given instructions on the package and set the dough aside for couple of hours. In some recipes, the pie crust is pre-baked to give it an extra crusty flavor before filling it. While other recipes indicate that everything goes in oven at the same time.

The potato filling is made by boiling potatoes and then mixing all the other required ingredients to add flavor and taste. Instead of boiling, you could try putting them in the microwave as it will make the process even more quicker. Just peel of the skin and cut them into cubes and place them in your microwave for about seven minutes.

You may put the potatoes in microwave without peeling or cutting them but they will take a little longer to get cooked and then once they're cooked you have to wait so that they cool down and only then you can peel off their skin. You could save time here by just peeling and cutting them before you put them in microwave for cooking.

The next step is to roll out the pie crust and thinly lay it in the baking tin. Pour the filling on top of the pie crust and put it in your oven for about 40 to 45 minutes. Once out of the oven, either serve hot or cold and with cream or ice cream according to your preference.

It is a misconception that gluten free pies have a dry crust and they don't taste the same as well. You would hardly notice any difference in taste, texture or flavor and if you don't believe it you could try both types of pies at the same time to see if you could spot any difference or not.

The execution is easy and the results you gather are excellent so there is no harm in trying out such recipe. There are no complex recipes to follow or you don't have to spend hours and hours in your kitchen. It is made just like any other pie and tastes the same.

Many people think that they cannot make something like this at home and its only shop bought. Although there are so many varieties available in the market but at the same time, it is possible to prepare some of your own at home if you prefer. Just follow the recipe and your pie will turn out just as you desired.
