Tips For A Honey Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

By Stephanie Green

As a novice baker, you might find most cookie recipes somewhat simple with which to follow along. You do not get confused and you know what to do for each step of the baking process. The same can be said for the recipe used to make honey chocolate chip cookies. As you may find, you could bake up dozens of these treats without putting out a lot of time or effort.

They key to getting started involves making sure you have the right ingredients on hand in your fridge or cupboard. Without all of these things, you probably will not be able to carry out the process required for yielding the right results. The main ingredients that you will be required to have on hand are all-purpose flour, white and brown sugars, vanilla, eggs, baking chips and baking soda as well as measuring devices.

You can start the baking process by creaming together the eggs, both types of sugar, and vanilla. You are encouraged to ensure the mixture has no lumps and is smooth. You might either use a hand held mixer or a whisk. Once the mixture is smooth, you might then set it aside and continue on with the dry ingredients. You will use this mixture later, however.

Mixing the dry ingredients together may be done with care. If you whisk or stir them too vigorously, they could spray everywhere and end up on the counter surface or on your clothing. Once the dry ingredients are well mixed, you can then blend them in slowly with the sugar, egg, and vanilla mixture. The ideal result should be a dough that is somewhat moist and crumbly.

Before you form each individual cookie, however, you need to add the baking chips. Again, you might go slowly to keep the chips in the bowl. With everything well-blended, you can then start the process of forming cookie balls.

Another tip to think about involves whether or not you want to grease the pans or cooking sheets. Most people choose to do so because it allows for easy lifting of the treats once they are fully baked. The most popular lubricants for greasing include coconut oil, butter, margarine, or cooking oil spray. These choices prevent the surface of the pan from sticking to the dough.

Once the treats are done, you may use a spatula to lift them gently from the pan's surface. A spatula is wide enough to keep them intact while you transfer them to a cooling rack. The ideal length of time to allow them to cool is between a half hour to an hour. By then, they will be cool enough to eat so that you avoid burning your tongue and mouth. A cooling rack can be substituted with wax paper or aluminum foil.

When you want to bake up several dozens of chocolate chip cookies with honey in them, you might wonder what the recipe is. The simplest one calls for very few ingredients. They tend to bake up quickly and can yield several dozen at one time so you have plenty on hand for you and your family.
