What Is Wifi Internet Worth If A Person Can't Find A Comfortable Place To Relax?

By Tim Frances

I'm here for the wifi internet at The Udder Place at the Mendenhall Mall in Juneau Alaska. It's a soup and sandwich kind of a place operated by a Christian owner. One tell tale sign of his orientation is the gospel music that is played overhead. Also, the casual listener can pick up sprinklings in the general conversation of most of the patrons which smack of respectfulness and appropriateness as well as talk of God and of church.

It appears that the owner sets the climate for his restaurant and there are many Christian people in Juneau that appreciate this. They show this appreciation by lingering here and spending their eating out dollars here.

The cafe sits across the main mall hallway from one of the 3 public libraries in Juneau.

The many pictures on the walls of this restaurant show support for the US troops overseas.

When I'm not working, I like to browse the web.

So, though I like to go to the library across the way, The Udder Place has their own wifi internet service and a quiet second room, a good place to sit in that is off the beaten path so to speak. I go in, choose my table and set up my laptop and I am contented. Honestly, I don't purchase anything there most of the time but just take advantage of their disposable cups and get continuous refills of water from the big water pitchers they have setting on the side table.

The internet is an amazing place. I usually start the day by reading the word of God online. I then check my email and my schedule and spend time reviewing sites and opportunities that are sound and will ultimately pay the bills for my wife and I. It's what I like to do! And the work appears to have paid off! I am involved with a solid program that pays steadily and tremendously!

The Udder Place is not open on Sunday and has general hours of 9:30 to 8 the rest of the week.

Sometimes I need a few minutes away from my computer: I go down to the mall bathroom down the main hall. Then I step outside the mall for a few minutes. Thunder mountain in view on the right, what a breathtaking view! Most people get accustomed to their surroundings and do not appreciate them to the fullest. It's probably the same here. Even though I'm used to the capital city of Alaska, it's still an awesome place!
