Cooking Tips For Your "On The Go" Lifestyle

Perhaps you have tried your hand at cooking before with unfavorable (or unflavorable) results. Do not give up yet! Below is a list of tips to help you in the kitchen! Learn to cook and create beautiful, delicious meals for you and your family! No culinary school experience required!

While you're cooking, it is important to be passionate and interested about what you are doing. With cooking, the taste you get out of your food isn't only linearly connected to the effort you put in, it's exponential! If you don't put effort into your food while cooking it, you will get something you don't even want to eat or feed to anyone!

Whip up some Angel Food Delight for a quick tasty desert. All you need is five ingredients, a pack of flavored jello, a pack of shelled nuts, some canned fruit cocktail, some cottage cheese and a frozen tub of whipped cream. Mix all of the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl and refrigerate before serving.

Cook pasta for one minute less than instructed on the box and then place the pasta in a sauce pan. By making pasta this way, the sauce will absorb into the pasta and the overall quality of your meal will be better. You can even add some spices into the saucepan.

Add a roll of sausage to your cabbage for a particularly tasty meal. Cut up a cabbage into bite sized pieces, cover with water, and put it on the stove to boil. While your cabbage is boiling brown some sausage in a skillet. Drain off the excess grease then pour the sausage into your cabbage. Cook until the cabbage is tender.

When you are cooking with cheese, be sure to bring the cheese to room temperature before you melt it. Also, always melt cheese using a very low level of heat. This will prevent the cheese from getting tough or separating into oil and liquid. Overheating cheese will denature its proteins.
